Professor Robyn Owens, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) from University of Western Austrilia (UWA) visited EE College this Tuesday. Prof Gan Deqiang, the vice dean of the College met with her in pursuit of the likely cooperation in between.
Following a brief introduction of UWA and CEE, the two sides came to details of research areas of interest that focused on renewable engery, solar energy, wind energy, electrical vehicles, etc. Meanwhile, student exchange programs were also mentioned as an important part of potential cooperation betweent the two sides.
Prof Owens’s visit to EE College is part of her schedule to Zhejiang University. It was the outcome of Prof Wu Chaohui’s (vice president of Zhejiang Univeristy) visit to UWA last summer, which was done according to Go8-C9 Research Leadership Executive Shadowing Program. Zhejiang Unviersity and the University of Western Australia have already conducted a comprehensive and diversified bilateral cooperation and exchanges since the two universities became sister universities in 1996.
