Brunel University Delegation Visited EE College

Delegates from Dept. of Electronic and Computer Engineering at Brunel University visited EE College on Dec 18 last Thusday. Prof Wei Wei, executive dean of the College, met with them together with EE faculties and students from areas of Power Electronics, Power Systems and Automation, and Control Theory and Control Engineering.

Prof. Nandi from Brunel University was making presentation: Signal Processing: from particles to genes and brains.

Prof Asoke K. Nandi, chair of Electronic and Computer Engineering of Brunel, first made a presentation with the topic of Signal Processing: from particles to genes and brains, in which he shared with EE attendees glimpses of some of his earlier works and a highlight of his work on communications, biomedical signal processing, as well as his recent work in biology and neuropsychology. The presentation was followed by Big Data Analytics for Smart Grid, another presentation by his colleague, Prof. Maozhen Li, a professor of High Performance Computing in the Department at Brunel University. After the presentations, the two sides discussed further, based on a general introduction of each other, to explore the possibility of research collaborations and student joint training programs in between.
