On Oct. 15th ,2009, at the invitation of the College of Electrical Engineering, Prof. Ying-Yu Tzou, the professor of the Chiao Tung University , delivered a lecture named "Power Electronics-Key to the Integration of Green Energy Technology System " in the lecture hall in Electrical Engineering Building. The lecture received a warm welcome and a lot of praise among teachers and students present.
Prof. Ying-Yu Tzou joined the Department of Electrical and Control Engineering of Chiao Tung University since 1987 as an associate professor and became a Professor at 1997. Prof. Tzou has been the Director of the Institute of Control Engineering during 1992-1994. His special interests now are sensorless ac drives, intelligent UPS, FPGA based control ICs for motor drives and power converters, and DSP applications in power electronics and motor control. Prof. Tzou has published over 40 international journal and conference papers. He also serves as a technical consultant for many power electronics and automation companies.
