The signing ceremony of cooperation between CEE and Zhejiang Electric Power Corporation on outstanding engineer joint traning was held last Wednesday on Jan 9, a productive achievement on talent training preceding strategic cooperation framework agreement signed between the two sides in the year of 2011.
Prof Wei Wei, the executive dean of CEE, signed the cooperative agreement with ZEPC on Outstanding Engineer Joint Traning.
Ever since 2011, 21 mentors from industry have been invited to help instruct students on their internship and graduation projects. It was not uncommon for CEE students to attend lectures delivered by distinguished industrial leaders and tech elites. A total of 64 undergraduates, until now, have been selected for 1-year internship and graduation projects in Zhejiang Electric Power Design Institute, Zhejiang Electric Power Research Institute, Hangzhou Electric Power Design Institute, Philips Lighting Electronics Global development Center (Shanghai), Delta Energy Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, etc. During the internship, besides learning the enterprise’s advanced technology and corporate culture, students were given the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice, and start with their graduation projects in the real engineering world. The internship experience, a fruit of the cooperation between univerisy and industry, not only equiped students with professional ethics, broaden their vision, but it also contributed to students’ capability in cross-cultural communication, cooperation and participation in social competition.
