The donation ceremony of 2.5 million Yuan from Ms Luo Ci and her husband Mr Lin Wenzhen to Zhejiang University Education Foundation was held at Shaoyifu Science Building on Yuquan Campus last Sunday Nov 3. Mr Wang Ruifei, head of EE College presided over the ceremony.
Ms Luo Ci and her husband donated 2.5 million yuan to Zhejiang University Education Foundation on Nov.3.
Ms Luo Ci, graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering , Zhejiang University in 1958, is the founder of Cybiotronics (Far East) Limited (established in 1976) in Hongkong. She is the distinguished alumna of Zhejiang University, having long been concerned about and supported the education of Zhejiang University. After repeated donations to Wang Guosong Education Foundation, Cybiotronics Scholarship, Control Science Scholarhip, the total amount of which has reached over 4 million yuan together with the 2.5 million yuan donation in this September.
Prof Luo Jianhong, vice president of ZJU, expressed his sincere gratitude on behalf of the university later in the speech. He meanwhile hoped CEE people would adhere to the university motto in educating outstanding talents with support from alumni of Zhejiang University.
