Enlarged council meeting of CEE Alumni Association, a branch of Zhejiang University Alumni Association (ZUAA), was successfully held last Saturday on Jan 11 at Yuquan Campus. Over 90 CEE graduates from all walks of life across the country attended the meeting.
CEE alumni of different ages and backgrounds were freely expressing their views on the Alumni Dialogue Forum.
CEE heads first introduced to attendees current situation and future trend of the College. According to them, the Collge has in recent years, made remarkable achievements in areas of disciplinary construction, research, talent training and international exchanges, the achievements of which are inseparable from joint efforts from CEE faculties and students, and more importantly, the sincere support by its alumni.
After that, the attendees discussed and voted to endorse CEE Hangzhou Alumni Association Constitution. Mr Wang Ruifei, party secretary of CEE was elected president of the Hangzhou Association, with 58 alumni being its council member. Mr Wu Xiaonong, the newly elected vice president of the Association pointed out in his speech that the ultimate goal of the Association was to act as favorable platform for effective communication and good interaction among alumni, and between alumni and the College. Each council member, he suggested, shoulder the responsibility of serving CEE alumni in a consistant manner. Meanwhile, greater contributions would be hopefully made by each alumnus to the benefit of the College and the University as well.
Later at the meeting, alumni dialogue forum - Electrical Engineering, Alumni, Inheritance, and Cooperation – was specifically held for alumni of different ages and different backgrounds to make free proposals on CEE development and alumni tasks.
