On the morning of April 11, the Sino-British Power Market Symposium was held at the Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University. The symposium aimed to provide a platform for sharing the experiences and knowledge concerning the power industrial reform and power market design. More than 40 experts and scholars from the governments and universities participated in the symposium. Professor DING Yi of our college, as an invited guest speaker, gave a speech titled as ‘My Thoughts on the Power Market’ on the symposium.
DING first introduced the process of power industrial reform in some representative foreign countries, and provided some suggests on the power market design in China. Then, DING introduced the current statue of power market construction in Zhejiang provinces, emphasizing the challenges and opportunities as well as the optimal market model. The speech captured the attention of the participants and aroused wide discussion.
